Alicia Baeck
Director Alicia Baeck is a "B2G and Smart City Strategist" who bridges the public and private sectors, connecting the languages of technology, administration, and the market. Since 2018, she has built expertise in the field of smart cities through diverse experiences in national affairs and policy communication, including PR for global IT companies, promotion for the Busan APEC IT Exhibition, public marketing and promotion to spread unfamiliar concepts (such as human tissue donation), legislative support, and the operation of the G20 Summit.
She holds a Master's degree in Smart City Design from Germany and completed the MIT Media Lab's "Beyond Smart Cities" program. As the practical manager for the creation of the first smart city in a local government, she spearheaded the establishment of mid-to-long-term master plans and the securing of state funding through competitive bidding. Subsequently, while working at an SI firm (a company specializing in IT system construction and integration), she successfully secured state funding projects of the smart city and conducted AX ISP consulting for public institutions.
With macroscopic insights across all domains and persuasive storytelling, she translates complex new technologies into the realistic language of government policies, administrative procedures, and government and local government budget codes. Through this, we are proving the feasibility of projects, fostering internal and external collaboration, and enhancing tangible commercialization results.
