Young Ho Lee
After joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1988, Mr. Young Ho Lee served in various key positions including the General Affairs Division, U.S. training program, and overseas postings at the embassies in Thailand, South Africa, Kazakhstan, and the United Kingdom. He also held domestic leadership roles such as Director of Southeast Asia Trade, Director of Consular Affairs, and Director of Overseas Korean Protection. In addition, he served as Deputy Consul General in Hong Kong, Consul General in Beijing, Director-General for Overseas Koreans and Consular Affairs, and Ambassador to Yemen. He retired from public service in 2016.
Since 2017, he has worked as an Honorary Professor at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy, training junior diplomats. He also served as Director of the Jeollabuk-do International Exchange Center under the North Jeolla Provincial Government.
As of 2023, he serves as Advisor to the World Korean Network and as a member of the Working Group on Overseas Koreans Policy at the Office for Overseas Koreans. In 2024, he was appointed International Exchange Advisor to the Seoul Jung-gu District Office, contributing to public diplomacy efforts at the local government level.

Achievements
· Collaborated with Korean SMEs and KOTRA overseas offices to discover global business partners and strengthen marketing capabilities through government-funded initiatives.
· Led the development and supply of OLED TV models tailored for the Japanese market at LG Electronics; enhanced real sell-out performance across major retailers including Yamada Denki, AEON, and Akihabara.
· Expanded sales of premium LG TV products priced over USD 2,000 across Asian markets.
· Operated LG’s sales subsidiary in Türkiye, overseeing 3PL logistics, in-store promoter networks, and service operations.

· Established and managed LG B2B Academies in 23 cities across the Middle East and Africa, providing capability-building programs for contractors and installers.

· Secured annual supply contracts for residential air conditioners through bids with major U.S. retailers including Walmart, Home Depot, Sears, and GE.
· In Saudi Arabia, partnered with three major business partners to establish a network of 250 LG-branded specialized dealers, significantly expanding market presence.
· Introduced LG-branded drum washing machines and side-by-side refrigerators to major German retailers such as Media Markt, Saturn, and Promarkt; launched brand marketing campaigns in Germany.
