Soon Koo Myoung
[1] Research: Professor Myung has shown a strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, engaging with experts beyond the field of law. He has published approximately 50 volumes as part of various book series, including Dandelion, Rodus, Pioneer, and Empathy (as author and translator). He has also contributed to academia and practice by publishing around 70 papers on diverse, timely topics. Additionally, through the establishment and management of the Health Law and Policy Research Center (HeLP), he has actively undertaken about 30 research projects commissioned by government agencies and corporations, earning the Sektop Research Award in 2017 in recognition of his contributions.
[2] Education: Firmly believing that education is the university's most fundamental mission, Professor Myung has approached teaching with exceptional passion, earning multiple Sektop Teaching Awards and Excellent Teaching Awards. Since 2015, he has operated fully online courses (MOOCs) with approximately 1,000 students enrolled per semester. By making these lectures publicly available through his Professor Myung's Online Channel on YouTube, he has contributed to fulfilling the university’s broader social responsibility.

(1) Public Institutions:
Professor Myung has participated in various legislative projects for the enactment and amendment of laws such as the Civil Code, served as a legal advisor, acted as a member of administrative appeals committees, and held board memberships at institutions such as the National Heritage Promotion Agency and Korea Veterans Health Service. In addition, he has been actively involved in education administration, serving as President of the Council of University Academic Affairs Directors of Korea, member of the Ministry of Education’s Education Reform Promotion Council, and Auditor for the Korean Association of Law Schools. In the healthcare sector, he has contributed as a member of the Korean Standard Health Classification Advisory Committee (Statistics Korea), the Future Strategy Committee (Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service), and the Central Council of the Korean Medical Association’s Medical Appraisal Center.
(2) Corporations:
Professor Myung has also participated in corporate governance activities, serving as Director of the Human Rights Center and Advisor at Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH), and as an Outside Director at the National Credit Union Federation of Korea (NACUFOK), gaining hands-on experience in management and board-level decision-making processes.
