Hyun Do Park
He currently serves as policy advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and an expert member of the Middle East research committee at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KEP). He worked for 7 years (2018-2024) as director of the Middle East Forum for Industrial Cooperation sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in Korea. Dr. Park has written extensively on Islam and the Middle East in newspapers and magazines, and frequently contributed to TV, radio, and YouTube programs about Islam and the Middle East in Korea. He received his B.A. in Religious Studies from Sogang University (Seoul, Korea), his M.A. in Islamic Studies from the Institute of Islamic Studies at McGill University (Montreal, Canada), and completed his doctoral program in Islamic Studies at McGill University before receiving his Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from the University of Tehran in Iran.
