Kwan Jung Yoon
Kwan Joong Yoon, CPA, joined Samil PwC's Audit Division, where he performed external audit engagements for five years. During this period, he gained an in-depth understanding of all stages of financial audits through complex financial statement analysis and audit risk assessment. In particular, he developed a keen expertise in audit procedures and accounting treatments by resolving various challenges encountered in auditing major corporations, including Samsung Group companies and Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS).
In 2012, upon recommendation from Samil PwC, he relocated to Dubai to join KOGAS Iraq Branch as an Economic & Planning Specialist. In this role, he was responsible for planning and managing Korea’s first oil field project in Iraq. Collaborating with construction, drilling, and legal teams, he gained extensive experience and knowledge in the oil & gas industry. Due to the Iraq IS conflict, the project was suspended, resulting in asset impairment issues. He worked closely with PwC auditors and KOGAS headquarters’ accounting team to develop an asset impairment assessment and accounting treatment framework, further strengthening his problem-solving skills and expertise in asset impairment accounting.
In 2018, instead of settling into his role at KOGAS, he sought new challenges and transitioned to PwC Dubai. As a member of the Middle East Tax Team, he supported Korean companies operating in 11 Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and Kuwait, by providing accounting, tax, and legal services through the PwC platform. This role allowed him to build strong client relationships while gaining a deep understanding of Middle Eastern tax laws and regulations.
Currently, Kwanjoong Yoon, CPA, leverages his extensive experience and vast network at Samduk Accounting Corporation, where he provides audit and financial consulting services. His expertise in solving complex accounting and tax issues, deep industry knowledge across multiple sectors, and strong client network make him a trusted professional in the field.
